Essential Amino Acids
(EAAs) must come from the diet
Protein in the human body is made up of 20 different amino acid building blocks. Your body is naturally able to synthesize some of these amino acids, but there are nine that humans cannot make. These nine amino acids must come from the diet and are called "essential" or "indispensable" amino acids.
These essential amino acids are: Leucine, Lysine, Valine, Isoleucine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Methionine, Histidine and Tryptophan. Fitness Labs AminoFit contains all nine essential amino acids, just like a complete protein source.
Essential Amino Acids and "whole" protein pills
Other brands promoting EAAs in pill format typically use a combination of whole proteins like whey or soy. The problem with this is that they contain extra non-essential amino acids and a small amount of carbs and fat, meaning you have to take more pills, larger pills, or both. For reference, whey protein isolate is about 90% protein. Of this protein in whey, about 40-50% comes from essential amino acids. That means you have to take over 6 grams of whey isolate to get 3 grams of essential amino acids, even though whey isolate is one of the best possible sources of essential amino acids.
AminoFit, on the other hand, contains just the more expensive, pure, individual amino acids in an optimal ratio for human consumption.** The result is a fat free, sugar free, carb free product with more essential amino acids per capsule than whole protein pills of the same weight.
These individual amino acids also absorb much faster than whole protein, and are free of common allergens like dairy, egg and soy that are typically found in whole protein pills.
Take 4 capsules with water daily, with or without food. Take before or after workouts, with low protein meals or another time of day to boost your amino acid intake.
